HISTORY
Khaya Arts Productions was established in September
of 2011. Since then the group has exerted its prowess and energies to creating
informative and entertaining productions involving dance, music and theatrics.
The group which resembles an ensemble has been affiliated to the National Arts
Council and has had a handful of other partners. The main aim is to provide
quality entertainment for quality people thus satisfying every audience that
gives its eye and ear to its productions. The group has performed at Eziko Theatre,
Intwasa Arts Festival koBulawayo, and has worked with Matabeleland Aids
Council, Rehabilitation and Prevention of tuberculosis, Forestry Commission,
Bulawayo City Council, Victory Siyanqoba Trust, family Impact, national Aids
Council, National Arts Council, Community Working Group on Health, they will
this year sub line at the Ibumba International Festival. The energy in the
feet, the melody in the voice and the charisma in the body will but scintillate
you and tantalize you to pay again during show break.
MANAGEMENT
The team has the Director, coordinator, Production
Manager, Finance Director, Treasurer and Secretary. it is gender balanced and
at the moment has all the prerequisite skills to make Khaya Arts a brand to reckon
with.
MISSION:
To provide quality edu-taining entertainment for
quality people.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The major aim is to create employment for the
talented youths meandering aimlessly and wasting their talent as they are
caught in the twin devices of sex and booze. This group seeks to keep youths
away from dangerous activities like drug abuse, unsafe sex and unemployment.
